Today’s video tip is all about processing our email and doing it the fastest way possible. And no, it doesn’t involve hitting the DELETE key before opening!
For a moment, think about the process you go through when you sort through your snail mail at home. Chances are, you’ve got it down to a science and it takes less than two minutes. You probably sort into three categories: shred, recycle or keep.
The process I just described is called Batch Processing. It’s where you’re focused on doing ONE task, for a short burst of time. Know what happens? You get really good at it. You make quick decisions, you make fewer errors and you complete it quickly.
Well if batch processing is so effective, why aren’t we applying it when reading our email?
